American Family Housing Breaks Ground on Unique Potter’s Lane Housing Development

American Family Housing (AFH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to permanently ending the cycle of homelessness, held a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, June 24, 2016 to unveil its newest project in Midway City – Potter’s Lane. The eco-friendly housing project will provide permanent housing for chronically homeless veterans utilizing innovative construction methods will upcycle steel shipping containers to create 16 beautiful 480-square-foot living spaces designed to complement the surrounding environment. The project is the first permanent supportive multi-family housing project developed with modified steel structures to house homeless veterans.

Stuart Kane partner Javier F. Gutierrez has been involved in the American Family Housing (AFH) development of the Potters Lane Housing Project as Chair of the organization’s Real Estate Committee. “It was an honor to participate in the Potter’s Lane groundbreaking ceremony. I am thrilled to see the hard work and diligence of the AFH Board to see the project start to come to life in this initial phase,” stated Gutierrez.
