Stuart Kane Welcomes Corporate Attorney Michael Vaughn
Stuart Kane LLP is pleased to announce corporate attorney Michael Vaughn has joined the firm.
Vaughn is a corporate and securities law attorney and brings to Stuart Kane a unique blend of experiences over a legal career spanning 28 years. He counsels companies throughout their lifecycle, from company formations and start-up activities, to raising capital, forming and leveraging relationships with investors, employees, partners, suppliers, distributors and customers, acquiring other companies and technologies and financing operations, to selling the company, supporting the entrepreneurs, investors, officers and directors and management teams behind them. Vaughn served as general counsel to companies in a diverse set of industries during aggressive growth stages, including Applied Medical Corporation and Quest Software, Inc. Before going “in house”, he was a shareholder of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, where his practice was focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other corporate transactions, SEC reporting and corporate governance.

Vaughn is an elected City Council Member in the City of Rancho Santa Margarita and former chairman of the RSM Planning Commission. He is the Founder and President of Team 2/5 RSM, a nonprofit organization supporting the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines – RSM’s adopted Marine Battalion. Vaughn actively participates in a variety of community organizations, including The Bell Tower Foundation, St. John’s Episcopal School and the RSM Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the California State Bar.
